<P><STRONG>Internship Program with Silicon Pastures<BR><BR></STRONG>&nbsp; My company, Silicon Pastures, has put on small sales-oriented internships in the past. It is transitioning from an angel investment network to a venture capital fund. The company is starting a new project now with partners in the United States.<BR><BR>&nbsp; A summer internship would start in late May or June 2014. We will provide return airfare, a housing subsidy, and a stipend as to the monthly salary to the successful candidate. Normally, these are basically part-time jobs which last for a period of months, typically when a college student has free time -- like over summer vacation. Current interns are usually Milwaukee-based and they usually live with their parents over the summer. For international students, they would have make their own arrangements for accommodation. The internships are specifically designed around the individual strengths, goals, and talents of the individual intern. If the intern has strengths, ambitions, goals and talents which we can use, then we create individualized projects for the intern.<BR><BR>&nbsp; A prospective intern should tell me these things:<BR>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 1) What have they done so far with their life?<BR>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 2) What are they passionate about?<BR>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 3) Do they have a resume? If so, can I see it?<BR>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 4) What are their life goals?<BR>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 5) What is venture capital?<BR>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 6) What is angel investing?<BR>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 7) Are they capable of making outbound phone calls?<BR>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 8) Are they capable of maintaining confidentiality?<BR>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 9) Do they have the ability to travel to the United States and live here for a period of months?<BR>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 10) What do they want to get out of an internship?<BR>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 11) Do they have any willingness to engage in sales-related activities, which may result in them experiencing rejection and possibly being embarrassed?<BR>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 12) Do they have any heroes? If so, who are they and why?<BR>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 13) If they were asked to research topics related to nuclear physics one day and topics related to biodegradable (or not biodegradable -- figure it out) chemical products the next day, could they handle it?<BR>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 14) Do they care what other people think?&nbsp; If so, why?&nbsp; If not, why?&nbsp; <BR>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 15) What do they think about Richard Feynman?<BR>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 16) Are they capable of learning new things?<BR>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 17) Are they more intellectually curious, or more eager to get along with others and obtain approval?<BR>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 18) Are they capable of building and maintaining long-term relationships?</P>
