Kyung Hee realizes academic excellence based on diversity and creativity and embodies
the ‘global dignity’ of a university as a venue for public practice for better people and a better world.
In pursuit of our mission of “creating a more civilized world,” over the last sixty years we have seen our University reach fifth in recent national rankings. The Kyung Hee School of Management (KHSOM) has played a vital role in this process. Over the last few decades, the KHSOM has become one of the top business education institutes in the country, producing talented students who demonstrate skills that are competitive at an international level.
The School of Management is now getting ready to turn a new page. We are now implementing five foundational values into our education and research: Responsibility, Integration, Glocalization, Humanity, and Team, summarized in our slogan, “Doing RIGHT in business education and research.” Our responsible management curriculum covers not only integrated knowledge but also helps students attain the skills you need to make an impact in a global society. Students will learn how to analyze their environment, work in a cohesive team, think of creative and effective solutions to human problems, and map out the best ways to implement strategy.
Even though our department has been rising in national and international rankings, we feel that we need to bolster our research in order to keep our paradigms up to date. One of the ways we are doing this is by recruiting professors from around the world through our University Eminent and International Scholar programs. We are also making efforts to diversify our student and faculty bodies by expanding our publicity and recruitment reach. We have also recently been strengthening our emphasis on responsible management education, with the intent of producing graduates who can become international management leaders who embody the principles of corporate social responsibility.
We at the School of Management, however, will not be satisfied simply with what we have achieved so far; we want to continue to grow and become one of the world’s best scholarly communities, an institute that makes significant contributions to society. As we cannot expect our school to develop and prosper without the cooperation of all the members of the academic community, we are counting on your continued participation, encouragement, and support in our journey. Thank you.
